Sad but true
Jan. 24th, 2012 05:56 pmMerlin is the reason that I'm into King Arthur stories.
I know, it's terrible. But see, I used to have this book of stories about the knights of the Round Table when I was a kid, so I had a basic grasp of King Arthur. So when I was coerced into watching Merlin, I knew that pretty much everything was completely wrong, (Merlin should look more like this Gaius character than anything else) but not how badly. And since I wanted to be an educated consumer of silliness, I started reading actual literature.
(Okay, so I started reading The Once And Future King mainly because I have a dead-person crush on T.H. White, but the Alliterative Morte Arthure, I blame entirely on Merlin.)
