Today we challenge you to write up the synopsis of your character's stories-- as if it were a "trashy genre example" of the same. Write the jacket blurb for your story if it were a bodice-ripper with a Fabio look-alike on the front! Or maybe your story fits better into the hard-boiled crime novel, or a swords-and-sorcery nine-book epic? Insert other genres as applies!

Bodice-Ripper: Beautiful debutante Tanwen of Oboureon is still reeling from the loss of her bodyguard and soulmate, Reiesamon, when her family announces that in order to secure them political powers, she must marry Nomaisoke, the bookish son of a nobleman. At first, she is bereft at the thought of leaving her family and being forced into a marriage against her will, but with her former lover’s comrade at her side for guidance, she sets off to navigate the maze of the political court … and the way to the mysterious Nomaisoke’s heart.

Swords-And-Sorcery Nine-Book Epic: For nearly two hundred years, the free peoples of Othiamba have been held in the iron fist of the Shanrien, a cold, proud warrior race from the north who banished all other gods and practices but their own. Now the stars have aligned, and a trio of unlikely heroes emerges: two farm boys, sold into slavery at a young age for the crime of being born to the wrong parents, and a (probably redheaded, definitely buxom and wearing cleavage-baring armor) fiery young woman of noble birth, long hidden by a roaming band of peddlers and believed to be dead. The trio join together with a band of rebels working under the sigil of the Seven Stelae, and face monsters, evil kings, and vengeful gods in their quest to free the land from the menace of the Shanrien Empire, once and for all.

My teeth are all on edge now. Farm boys and fiery young women, yeesh. (The best part is that both are accurate descriptions, just incomplete)
