NaNoWriMo: Cast of Characters

I just had the most amazing, mind-melting thought ever. What if I start from scratch? As in, completely from scratch. Re-evaluate the characters, toss out the weak links, make it stronger. It doesn’t matter that you had all that planning; throw it out and set this in the caves at Ee. Fuck continuity; make another Apocalyptic Continuity! Two versions of one alternate version of the future.

I think I’m most excited for genderbent!Alan as Stephen’s replacement. I like Stephen, but he didn’t really fit in with anyone there, and I couldn’t understand anyone else’s relationship to him. So now we have the delightfully manipulative and snarky Alanna Black, whose loss of her mind-mapping abilities will be detrimental.

I realized that the only reason I was still including Matt was because he ought to be with Diana, and because it was his house, but I don’t really have a set personality for him, other than ‘really camp straight guy’. Which is no good. So now we have Enna, except this version of Enna (who will need a different name) is from Avvya. And now I have representation from all seven worlds.
