It's brainstorming time! I'm going to try for a + Pattern Bingo if I can complete the vertical-line one. Vertical line because I have ~ideas~ that can be applied to a five-fandom Bingo. I thought about going for a Size Matters one for about five minutes, but no, not going to be too ambitious here.
Outlines and Stuff:
Gender Play — Community — Abed, Troy, Annie, and Britta — in which Abed does a film project exploring traditionally male and female stock characters, reversing them in order to be cutting-edge or controversial, something tongue-in-cheek. He has decided to film a condensed version of Twilight, starring Annie, Troy, and Britta as Edward, Bella, and Jacob, respectively. Britta complains that it’s appropriative for her to pretend to be a Native American, to which Abed replies that it was appropriative to use the native people and bastardize their religion in the first place, but if it makes her feel better, she can make a reference to it in the film so their audience will be aware that she’s doing it as a protest of that sort of whitewashing.
It could be done by crossdressing, but it would be more effective in highlighting the stereotypical roles of the characters if they performed exaggerated opposites of their current genders without actually crossdressing. For example, Troy (as Benny Swan) dresses like a metrosexual man, has all of the effeminate traits of Bella Swan, but is still a straight guy. Annie (as Emily Cullen) is the physically strong, intelligent vampire woman who protects, stalks, and controls Benny. And Britta (as Jackie Black) plays the earnest, hapless girl with a crush on her childhood friend.
Focus is on Abed directing them to play their roles properly, and on Troy and Britta having objections at every corner, and Annie enjoying her role as Emily Cullen immensely.
Silks/Velvet/Feathers/Furs— Sixth World — Mairwen, Kieve — Mairwen has joined the official delegation of her family which makes the trip to the draethyr’s house to sell their wares. She isn’t trusted yet to do the actual negotiations, so she’s left with Kieve and Taran to mind the wares while their elders do the opening rituals. She meets one of the draethyr’s sons, and they conduct a coded flirtation that involves her handling the silks, talking about them, talking about her clothing and the clothing that he could make with the silks, et cetera. There are probably all sorts of political tensions underlying the fact that she and her family have a new, undefined place in his society now: they are foreign merchants, they ought to be far subservient to him, but her cousin is his overlord, and he resents that, so there are multiple elements to it.
Scenes and Settings (Wildcard) — Doctor Who/Thor — Ten, Loki — in which Ten visits the Asgard from Thor, and is struck by its similarities to Gallifrey, and to its differences. He initially goes to consult with Loki, pre-movies, to check on an experiment that he’s been conducting (he calls it magic, the Doctor calls it something pseudoscientific), and is swept away by the scenery. Loki wants to get his hands on the Doctor’s pocket watch, which would be a lot easier if the Doctor didn’t have clothing on at all, so he takes the Doctor to somewhere outside of the palace that resembles Gallifrey even more, and flirts with him there, picks his pockets while he’s getting all misty-eyed, and tries to send him on his way. The Doctor isn’t buying it; he takes the watch back, says he knows what Loki was doing, but let him do it because he wanted so badly to be reminded of home.
EDIT: I have better ideas now. Also some partially-written things.
Wildcard: Genderplay (Community; Annie and Pierce) — It's only a matter of time before Greendale has a drag show, right? Right? And it's exactly the sort of getting-in-touch-with-your-inner-self that Pierce needs to gain a higher spiritual level. Jeff is dubious, Shirley is mildly horrified, and Annie becomes Pierce's mentor.
Doms/Subs: Gallows Hill (Violet and Kai) — Kai's relationship to Violet in a powered-down AU where she's less of an obvious cosmic horror, with less terrifying power dynamics.
EDIT #2: Now probably going for the diagonal.
Service: [rough draft] Will and Violet; focus on Will helping Violet around as she gets used to not being able to use her legs.
Worship: [planning] Tanwen; focus on her ascension ceremony and the way that it makes her feel
Wildcard (Gender Play): [writing] A crossroads demon from Supernatural, and the way that it can play with people's expectations based on what body and what gender it chooses to appear in. Subject to change of focus, but I definitely want to do something with gender expression in this show
Ageplay: [writing] Amy, Rory, and River; Amy's parents invite the Pond family over for dinner; focus on River's relationship with Amy, who is half her age and also her motherBegging: [planning[ No idea what I'm going to do for this one yet.
