Paramedical Phenomena: Act Two

I think I just violated the rule of television that says the first act is the longest, and the others get progressively shorter. Although I still have a couple of scenes to fill out in the first act, so that should even them out a bit.

Also, re: nearly everything medical here? I have no clue what I'm doing. I'm just making things up with no regard to their basis in reality, because if I stopped to do medical research while drafting then I'd never get anywhere at all.
