kasihya: autopsied corpse of Will Graham from NBC's Hannibal (revolutionary)
[personal profile] kasihya
I might change the names of the characters again. Definitely changing Tanwen's family; now that I've cemented that they're Chinese, it doesn't make sense for them to have the same type of names as everyone else. The rest of it changed because I decided that Welsh was too modern a choice for everyone else, so they should all have Aramaic names. I know, I know -- if I was going to go for that, I should probably have given the Mexica-based people the Nahuatl names, and gone with Aramaic for the family, but what are you going to do? This way, Siaras gets to go back to being a Sam* name, which was always part of the plan.

You'll notice that I gave the deities referent names, those being the Aramaic numbers associated with the deity. This is because, in a fit of late-night brainstorming, I wrote out a bunch of themes for the story, and noticed that all of them fall under the jurisdiction of the Four-Armed Deity. Given that this is the case, I decided that Four Arms should be somewhere in the title. Four Arms does not a good title make, so now I can name the story Arba's Children or something like that.

Anyway, I'm just going to copy/paste the list from Scrivener here, so that if I want to write longhand, I can have the list available via phone. Technology, yes.
